“The arrival of your first Grandbaby. Suddenly all those years a raising your babies, watching them grow and learn. Struggling through the good, the bad and the downright not fun stuff. You begin to feel relaxed with life, the quiet and the calm – predictable. Then pops in a new little cherub. A Grandbaby. Suddenly there is energy everywhere. Giggles pop out. Ah, traveling this new road as Grandmother will be a wonderful adventure. Your role now is not as parent but something completely unique to you and your Grandchild. The sharing of who you are, as a person, to this wee one. Grandbaby will grow up and will have been given your special gifts. They will say, “Ah,yes my Grandmother! She loved me.” They will know your soul. What a gift this is.
